Welcome to Walking with Dogs

This section of our site has been set up for walkers who like to take their dogs with them, I felt being a dog owner we should have a section dedicated to walkers with dogs, there is little that caters specifically to walkers with dogs, so we have created a dedicated section, here you be able to find accommodation that caters for dogs, walk ideas and general information for walking with Fido.

If you are new to walking with your dog an important point to remember is that by law you do not need to keep your dog on a lead on public paths as

long as you can keep it under close control, my advice would be that if you cannot rely on your dogs obedience keep your dog on a lead, another important factor is that the law is on the side of the farmer and they are entitled to destroy a dog that injures or worries any of their animals, so when crossing farm land or fields with animals in I would advise that you keep your dog on a lead.
If you are walking near or on beaches it is important to remember that dogs are not allowed on beaches between May and October this law is enforced by local bye laws, you will find that these sections of beach will be clearly sign posted.
